The Vatican Mint is celebrating the centenary of the foundation of the Università del Sacro Cuore with the issuance of a 10 euro silver coin. The University's coat of arms, faithfully reproduced by artist Gabriella Titotto, represents the identity of the institution: at the top, the Sacred Heart of Jesus; in the center, the Alma Mater (an expression used to indicate the University from which one graduated); at the sides, two students; lastly, the Latin phrase: "Universitas Catholica Sacri Cordis Jesu Mediolani". Since its founding, it has become the largest university in Europe, always remaining faithful to its Catholic identity.
